Board members work collaboratively to review development opportunities, consider funding requests, and help shape initiatives that enhance Uhland’s long-term economic vitality.

Position Details:
- Board Seat: Multiple
- Term: 2 years
- Meetings: Held regularly in accordance with posted agendas
- Eligibility: Must meet applicable requirements under Texas law and City policy
What We’re Looking For:
The City is seeking individuals who bring thoughtful perspective, professionalism, and a willingness to serve. Experience in business, finance, development, or community leadership is helpful but not required.

Who Qualifies:
Under the Texas Local Government Code Section 505.052, for cities with a population of less than 20,000, the City Council has flexibility in appointing board members.
Specifically:
(1) be a resident of the municipality;
(2) be a resident of the county in which the major part of the area of the municipality is located; or
(3) reside:
-
(A) within 10 miles of the municipality's boundaries; and
-
(B) in a county bordering the county in which most of the area of the municipality is located.
All appointments are made by the Uhland City Council.
