From the Desk of the Mayor:
I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as Mayor of Uhland.
I began as a new council member in October 2023, and the last two years have been tumultuous — marked by poor leadership and lack of full disclosure.
Our city teetered on the brink of becoming insolvent. At times, it felt like the Titanic, and even my faith in humanity wavered. However, when we seek wisdom greater than ourselves, look beyond obstacles and personal attacks, and remain focused on the goal, there is nothing im-possible.
True courage is not the absence of fear, but the willingness to move forward through the fear.
Life can be challenging, but when you discover a new resolve within yourself, the opportunities become endless. I wish nothing but the best for those who have served our city in the past and for those who are newly stepping forward to serve our community.
This is an important moment in our city’s history, and I remain committed to working shoulder to shoulder with our council members and city administrator to restore financial stability, strengthen good governance, and rebuild trust within our community.

Me siento honrada y agradecida por la oportunidad de servir como Alcalde de Uhland.
Comencé como nuevo miembro del concejo municipal en Octubre de 2023, y los últimos dos años han sido tumultuosos — marcados por mal liderazgo y falta de transparencia total.
Nuestra ciudad estuvo al borde de la insolvencia. A veces se sentía como el Titanic, e incluso mi fe en la humanidad llegó a tambalearse. Sin embargo, cuando buscamos una sabiduría más grande que nosotros mismos, vemos más allá de los obstáculos y ataques personales, y mantenemos el enfoque en la meta, no hay nada imposible.
El verdadero valor no es la ausencia de miedo, sino la voluntad de seguir adelante a pesar del miedo.
La vida puede ser difícil, pero cuando uno descubre una nueva fortaleza interior, las oportunidades se vuelven infinitas. No deseo más que lo mejor para quienes han servido a nuestra ciudad en el pasado y para quienes hoy dan un paso adelante para servir a nuestra comunidad.
Este es un momento importante en la historia de nuestra ciudad, y sigo comprometida a trabajar hombro a hombro con nuestros miembros del concejo y nuestro administrador municipal para restaurar la estabilidad financiera, fortalecer una buena gobernanza y reconstruir la confianza dentro de nuestra comunidad.
